The Bulgarian food sector reversed course in recent years to rapid growth after several years of decline. Due to this growth and the country's EU accession, the food sector has been attracting significant local and foreign investments in recent years.

NECA has the necessary industry knowledge to conduct meaningful market and regulatory research and to add value in finance raising, organic growth, mergers and acquisitions in the sector.

NECA advised a multinational food and beverage firm on its expansion in Bulgaria through an acquisition of a local company.

NECA advised BAEF on the trade sale of a leading Bulgarian poultry processor.

Through its participation in Nadejda privatization fund, NECA played an active role in the sale of a strategic stake in Kaliakra, the largest Bulgarian oilseed refinery, and in Plevensko Pivo, a leading Bulgarian brewery.
