E.ON completes divestment of E.ON Bulgaria

E.ON today completed the sale of its subsidiary E.ON Bulgaria.

The company is now owned by Energo-Pro, a private Czech energy supplier. E.ON Bulgaria, based in Varna, operates a power grid of about 42,000 km in north-east Bulgaria and delivered around 5.5 billion kWh of electricity in 2011. In 2004, E.ON took over the majority stake in a grid operator and a sales company during the privatisation of the Bulgarian energy industry and merged these two companies to form E.ON Bulgaria.
