NECA strengthens its presence on the western Balkans today by hiring Genc Rraci as Regional Director for Albania, Macedonia, and Kosovo. Mr. Rraci is a Dutch-educated, Prishtina-based financial expert with rich industrial and advisory experience in the region and in the EU.
"Albania, Macedonia and Kosovo are in the preliminary stages of EU accession. As we have seen from recent accession countries, the convergence process will bring new EU- and government-funded projects, and the private sector will gain the attention of European companies. I am convinced that from my new position, NECA and its network partners will be the preferred advisers in these processes," says Mr. Rraci.
Prior to joining NECA, Mr. Rraci has served for more than 10 years as external consultant/auditor in major assurance firms -- KPMG, Deloitte and Grant Thornton -- with a focus on the financial institutions sector. He served for 4 years as Head of Internal Audit at Post and Telecommunication of Kosovo (PTK). During 2007-2008, Mr. Rraci served as non-executive director at Kosovo Resources Company, a subsidiary of Lydian International, a mineral exploration and development company.
"We're delighted to have Genc join our team as our business grows in the region. This newly created position underlines our on-the-ground presence in Albania, Macedonia, and Kosovo, and our commitment to bringing foreign investment to these markets," says Ken Lefkowitz, NECA Managing Partner.
Mr. Rraci holds a bachelor degree in business administration from HBO in the Netherlands and a master degree from Business University of Nyenrode in the Netherlands with a thesis on Corporate Governance issues. Mr. Rraci is also a certified auditor, a full member of Royal Dutch Institute of Certified Auditors.
